Joe Wright,PE

Joe Wright, PE CEO

Joe Wright,PE  is the Chief Executive Officer at Kennon.  He oversees the operations at Kennon and is responsible for its financial performance.  He's been an integral part of establishing a safe, productive, and communicative atmosphere at Kennon.
 
Joe is an industrial engineer who has held several management positions, both in large and small business.  He worked for UPS for 13 years, mainly within the industrial engineering function.  He also oversaw several operations, including a 120 employee, $11 million/year operation.
 
Joe attended North Dakota State University, majoring in industrial engineering and playing baseball and then moved to Bozeman where he received his Industrial Engineering degree from Montana State University.  Joe obtained his Professional Engineering license in 2008.

Todd Pierson

Todd Pierson, MBA  is Kennon's Military Liaison. Todd is Kennon’s first face to the military community. He helps military units determine the best solution to their unique needs and provides follow-on support. 

Todd served over 23 years as an Air Force mechanic. In his last assignment, he managed all of the fighter engines and support equipment for the Pacific theater.  He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant (E-8) and joined Kennon in 2007.

Todd graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a B.S. in Aircraft Safety Systems Management and earned a MBA from UNLV.  He is a Wyoming native but now resides in Las Vegas with his wife Leigh.  When not working, Todd and Leigh enjoy adventure travel and virtually all outdoor activities.

Meet Our Engineers

Nate

Nate Williams

 Nate Williams is the Vice President of Operations and holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wyoming as well as an M.B.A. from the University of Utah.

Prior to joining Kennon, Nate worked for a leading manufacturer of orthopedic devices, filling various technical, development, and management roles.  Most recently, he was R&D Director at the company headquarters in central Germany, having responsibility for 200+ engineers and technicians at locations in Europe and the United States. 

Outside of new product development and manufacturing, Nate enjoys spending quality time with his family, all manner of sports, and taking advantage of the beautiful surroundings around Sheridan, Wyoming.

 

Becky Heyward

Becky Heyward

Becky Heyward recently returned to her hometown of Sheridan, Wyoming to join Kennon’s engineering team as a Quality Engineer. Becky first worked in aerospace as an intern for The Boeing Company. After graduating from Montana State University with a degree in Industrial Engineering she returned to Seattle, Washington to continue her work at Boeing. Later, she expanded her experience in aerospace and manufacturing at Exotic Metals Forming Company as both a Lean Manufacturing Engineer and Production Supervisor. Becky is excited to work at Kennon and is looking forward to more blue sky days spent in the mountains.

Mark Weitz, PE

Mark Weitz, PE

Mark Weitz, PE  leads research and development efforts at Kennon.  A Chemical Engineer and Atmospheric Scientist by training, Mark has been involved in basic and applied R&D for over 20 years. Much of Mark's early career work was field based - on the ground, and in the air - which provided Mark with a breadth of hands-on, practical problem solving skills.  Holder of a patent for an industry-standard calibration flow meter, and developer of numerous innovative designs at Kennon, Mark provides clients with a unique complement of strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and results-oriented solutions.

Outside work, Mark loves to ski with family and friends, as well as mountain biking, hiking, and fishing in the beautiful mountains near Sheridan.  Mark enjoys listening and playing music on bass guitar, harmonica and piano, and is even been known to get up on stage as a thespian.

 

Kelly Brennan, PHD, PE

Kelly Brennan, PHD, PE

Kelly Brennan, PHD,PE grew up near Sheridan, Wyoming and graduated from Sheridan High School.  He attended the University of Wyoming where he earned a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in composite materials.  As a research and development engineer with Kennon, he focuses his efforts on deploying novel and unique material solutions in our new products.  Outside of Kennon, he enjoys spending time with his family and recreating in the wide open spaces of Wyoming.

 

Zackary Gray, B.S.E.E.

Zackary Gray, B.S.E.E.

 Zachary has a B.S.E.E. from the University of Wyoming and has worked for a variety of high tech companies throughout his career starting with HP in Silicon Valley.  He has worked extensively on scientific instruments with diverse teams from around the globe.  He has participated in several successful startups and conducted research for NASA, NSF, the US NAVY and others.  He has a wide variety of interests including software, firmware, and materials science ranging from cryogenic applications to MEMS devices.  He is a native of Wyoming and enjoys living and working in the shadow of the Big Horn Mountains.

 

Justin Wood

Justin Wood

 Justin Wood  is a recent graduate in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wyoming. He grew up in Sheridan, Wyoming and has many friends and family in the city. Justin championed for the University of Wyoming in Pocket Billiards, representing them in nationwide competition at multiple events and placed in multiple tournaments in Wyoming, including the Wyoming State Valley Championships in Team Play, taking 1st place in C.  He interned at Kennon during college and will be working on a Phase 2 SBIR contract for the Navy developing lightweight emergency inflatable equipment.
