Kennon’s engineering team is made up of material scientists, chemical, industrial and mechanical engineers. Our design engineers work everyday on custom design projects with customer satisfaction always at the forefront. These engineers also work on new and innovative projects designed to better protect high value assets.

Kennon’s sales team strives to not only meet, but exceed customer expectations daily. With retired military personnel and industry experts our sales team has the knowledge and experience to deliver the highest level of customer service.

RON KENSEY
Ron Kensey, founder of Kennon Products, started the company in 1984 with Paul Kennon Chaney. Ron became the sole owner and moved the company to Sheridan, Wyoming in 1989. Over the next 30 years, Ron established Kennon as a leading manufacturer and developer of aircraft protective coverings and other high-value assets. Ron has served his community throughout his time in Sheridan, ranging from President of the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors to member of Governor Mark Gordon’s Wyoming Business Council Board of Directors. Ron and his wife Lori have retired from the everyday operations of Kennon but are still an integral part of the team and are very proud of the fact that Kennon is an employee owned company.
JOE WRIGHT, P.E.
Joe Wright joined the Kennon team in 2010 after a 13-year career with UPS. After working as an engineer and Executive Vice President, Joe was named Kennon’s Chief Executive Offer in 2015. Joe is active in the community. He serves on the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees, is a co-chair of the Next Gen Manufacturing Partnership, and is active in the local Rotary Club. He is also a member of the Vistage CEO Network and currently enrolled in Stanford University’s Executive Leadership Program. Joe received his Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering from Montana State University and obtained his Professional Engineering license in 2008.
BECKY COOPER, P.E.
Becky Cooper worked at The Boeing Company and Exotic Metals Forming Company in Industrial Engineering and Management before joining Kennon as a Quality Engineer in 2014. She oversaw the implementation of Kennon’s ISO 9001 certified Quality Management System prior to becoming the Vice President of Operations in 2017 and Vice President of Engineering in 2018. In her current position as Executive Vice President, Becky manages Kennon’s finance and sales departments. Outside of Kennon, Becky serves on the Board of Directors for the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce. She received a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering from Montana State University in 2009 and Professional Engineering licensure in 2015. Becky is also currently enrolled in Arizona State’s MBA program.
MARK WEITZ, P.E.
Mark Weitz was the first Engineer hired at Kennon (2006). During his tenure, he has led the effort of securing over $10 million of Research and Development revenue and grown the Engineering staff to include over 10 full-time employees. Prior to Kennon, Mark helped develop and commercialize innovations including remote nuclear vessel inspection tools and calibration flow meters. He has considerable experience interfacing with Department of Defense program offices and prime contractors. In 2018, Mark was named Kennon’s VP of Strategic Development where he can utilize his unique skillset to help usher in the next generation of products for the company to produce in Sheridan, WY. Mark has a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering (Montana State University), a Master’s in Atmospheric Science (University of Wyoming), and received his Professional Engineering license in 1993. He currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors for the Antelope Butte Foundation.
BROCK SWECKARD
Brock Sweckard came to Kennon in 2017 with a multitude of skills and experience as a Mechanical Engineer. Prior to joining Kennon, Brock worked for General Electric and Baker Hughes in several Mechanical Engineering, Operational and Managerial roles. Brock was hired as a Research & Design Engineer where he oversaw development and design of a new Life Preserver Unit for the US Navy and Air Force. Brock took on the Vice President of Operations role in 2019 and has made many advancements, such as improved delivery time, streamlined processes and reduced costs. Brock received his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wyoming in 2005.
Nate Williams
Nate Williams brings a wide variety of experience and skill to the Kennon team. Prior to returning to his home state of Wyoming, Nate spent the majority of his career with Ottobock Healthcare, both in the U.S. and overseas. Nate worked as an accomplished development engineer early in his career, but quickly transitioned to engineering leadership, having an affinity and desire to focus on the “big picture”. Eventually, this path led to a role as Director of Engineering and Research and Development for Ottobock at their headquarters operation in central Germany. The draw of the American West eventually brought Nate and his family back to Wyoming and to Kennon. Nate’s first role at Kennon was as Vice President of Operations where he oversaw day-to-day manufacturing operations, as well as project management responsibilities for the V-22 VIP Cabin Liner System delivered in 2017. After a brief respite away, Nate rejoined Kennon in July 2020 as the Vice President of Engineering, overseeing Kennon’s Engineering, Design and R&D activities. Nate received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wyoming, and his M.B.A. from the University of Utah. When not in the office, you can find Nate spending time with his wife and four children. He and his family love to be outdoors, especially spending time together camping, fishing and boating.

TODD PIERSON
Todd Pierson, Director of Military Sales for Kennon Products, served for over 23 years as an Air Force mechanic. In his last assignment, he managed all of the fighter engines and support equipment for the Pacific Theater. Todd retired as a Senior Master Sergeant (E-8) and joined the Kennon team in 2007. Todd graduated from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a B.S. in Aircraft Safety Systems Management and earned an MBA from UNLV. He is a Wyoming native and now resides in Las Vegas with his wife Leigh. When not working, Todd and Leigh enjoy adventure travel and virtually all outdoor activities.
